Lindsay Lohan has done 84 minutes of jail time. Considering she was sentenced to do at least 24 hours, if that isn't star treatment I don't know what is. I don't know how much of an impact 84 minutes in a holding area and not a cell will really have, but hopefully the community service requirement will. Not that anyone is holding their breath about this.
A lot of the young starlets in Hollywood seem to get themselves into nothing but trouble. The bad thing is that they're often seen as role models by young girls and the troubled Hollywood starlet image is certainly nothing to aspire to. Look at Britney Spears, Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie to name a few of Lindsay's fellow law breakers. Star treatment gets them out of really taking responsibility for their actions though, but that's something of a standard unfortunately. Not only in law breaking but in general, for instance how does Angelina Jolie go through the adoption process so quickly when other families wait years to adopt a child? Why it's the fact that she's Angelina Jolie of course. Shocking! Yet another example of stars receiving a benefit for being stars, like the huge pay packet they get isn't a large enough benefit!
