ALL HALLOWS EVE
October 31st 2006 05:12
Ok, so there might be a little bit of a ranting theme between today and yesterday's post, but the context is slightly different....
You know what really bugs me? People who are invited to, and accept an invitation to, a costume party and show up with no costume. I mean seriously, don't you know how to have fun?
I'm convinced you haven't lived, truly lived, unless you've made a complete bumbling jackass out of yourself in front of a very large group of judgemental people. In line with this, attending, IN COSTUME, a costume party should be good practice to life. Let's face it, its a party, so there's alcohol which makes people more judgemental but also in a good mood so hopefully all judgements will err on the side of WAYYYY to kind in this instance. Moreover, its a party, these people are presumably your friends and therefore there is little you can do to provoke their negative, judgement, no?
Anyway, this very much ties into being the person having the most fun at a party. We still haven't satisfactorialy answered whether picking up is exponentially more likely based on the amount of fun you're perceived to be having, but we can assume that if there is, in fact, a correlation, than it is damn trendy to show up at a costume party with the best damn costume you can find!
and on that note, i'm off to the party! Happy Halloween, y'all!
