Britney and the Dixie Chicks

so lets compare. what is less trendy, shaving your head on a whim (and then wearing cheap-ass, tacky wigs around to cover it) or being ridiculously ungrateful when you accept an award at an award ceremony?
Britney? or the Dixie Chicks?
I have to say until she showed up around town hiding the new bald-do, i thought britney was pretty trendy, and pretty ballsy to be quite frank. I have been considering shaving my head for nearly 10 years and I still haven't found the courage to go for it. When I was a teenager my brother brought home his adorable girlfriend, a solider in the Israeli Army, and she had a shaved head. Never before had I imagined that a girl with a shaved head could be attractive, but here she was, petite, delicate features that stood out starkly in relief. Since then a number of my more beautiful girl friends have dared to go bare and have loved it. My hairdresser famously teases me everytime i come in. "Is today the day to get rid of all of it?" It never is. Obviously Brit's not the first starlet to do something drastic like shave her head (natalie portman just did it for a role last year) but I still think Brit should embrace the new do and consider herself brave for trying it.
That only leave the dixie chicks and i hate hate hate to rag on the dixies (because stupid people have put them through enough for voicing a legitimate political opinion) but seriously girls, your claiming to be representative of some element of the South and no one taught you about graciousness? The appropriate acceptance speech is not "ha ha" nor is it "people are speaking with their voice" (a comment probably meant to indicate that people are no longer punishing the dixie's for their political forray, but actually sounded much more insulting to fellow nominees). Sometimes its not so hard to believe that they got themselves into a little hot water. Tact might be in short supply over in dixie land.
NEVERTHELESS, I am not implying that the dixie chicks aren't trendy. Certainly putting their anger and frustration into an award winning album is nothing short of inspiring. Certainly Brit's impulsive move to change her physical looks with little regard for the consequences can be seen as insipring also....
