Post-Modern Sex and the City
November 15th 2006 07:49
I have a good political post coming up, I promise. But i need a break. I study politics all day long so i am taking a break from the postivist, linear thinking and taking a cue from a very dear friend of mine you believe it or not is more than a little left-of-centre.
We're going post-modern in the blogging for the afternoon.
I needed something funny I shared to a room full of people. Something people will enjoy reading. What's the topic restriction someone asked me. I said "trends, but anything can be a trend" and my friend then goes "well that's funny." And i pondered, is it funny? I have blogged a lot about reflexivity, about the importance of being able to own up to your shortcomings be they sweaty bums, or lack of humor, and so I figured in the trendiest of trendy moves I would wax reflexive about my own blog for just a moment.
That moment, however, has come and gone. I cannot think any longer for fear of an actual head implosion. Alcohol awaits, and the girls of sex and the city taught us that lesson well: NOTHING, and I mean NOTHING is trendier than a cocktail!
